Rose Cottage (Rambling Rose 6) Fine Art Print
Stone cottages and rambling roses seem to be made for each other. I love the contrast of the soft young leaves and petals against the ancient stone. It always looks to me like the climbing plant is seeking to reclaim the stone.
Like the flag in the explorer's territory, the rambling rose boughs reclaim the stone as part of their natural world. The gentle rose integrates the manmade cottage with the earth. Now that would make it a home.
